On November 4th, the Qingdao Import and Export Enterprises Chamber of Commerce, the MBA Education Center of the Ocean University of China, Qingdao Dehui Management Consulting Co., Ltd., and the Shandong Hua’ai Charity Foundation, in collaboration with thirty Qingdao enterprises, initiated the “Turning Pages Over Mountains, Building Dreams for the Future” charity book donation campaign at Ocean University of China. The event saw a collective effort from a 25-member volunteer team from companies such as Kute Refrigeration Technology, Muyifang, Zhongrui Group, and Seemagic, along with representatives and employees from 30 companies and nine family groups.
During the launch ceremony, a total of 4,600 books were donated, including both corporate and personal contributions, spanning various genres like popular science, children’s literature, and Chinese classics. These books are to be distributed to five primary schools: Guanxi Primary School in Dong Song Town of Luoning County, Luoyang, Qian Yang Primary School in Shao Dian Town of Shangcai County, Qian He Primary School in Ma Chang Town of Taikang County, the Third Primary School in Chengguan of Kang County, and the Central Primary School in Duo Zhuang School District. The initiative aims to unlock new avenues of knowledge for the children, ushering them into a wider world.
Vice President Hao Ziquan of the Chamber of Commerce highlighted that corporate social responsibility should manifest not only in economic development but also in contributing to society’s sustainable growth, particularly in foundational education. Yan Wenxia, founder of Dehui Management Consulting and an organizer of the event, expressed heartfelt thanks to all the philanthropic enterprises and voiced her hope that the act of reading would light up the children’s hearts and guide their quest for knowledge. Gao Zhenghua, Chairman of Leda Group, Fu Shenting, Chairman of Huahan International Logistics, and Wang Xiaotong, General Manager of Kute Refrigeration Technology, also conveyed their ongoing commitment to supporting educational charitable causes, aiming to provide a hopeful horizon for children in need.
The event also featured a video link with Wang Yuheng, a representative of the Hua’ai Foundation, Teacher Pang Yanjie of the Jusha Public Welfare Association, and Principal Guo Zhongwei of the Third Primary School in Chengguan, Kang County. They expressed profound gratitude for the organization of the event and the generous donations from all sectors of society. The host, Li Zhiwei, discussed the significance of the book donation with the young volunteers on-site. Dehui Management Consulting presented signed copies of “OKR Management Principles” by author Wang Ming to the participating enterprises. All corporate representatives and children involved in the event wrote letters, extending their sincere wishes to the children who would soon receive the books. Secretariat members Ai Shan and Zhang Hanyu from the Chamber of Commerce issued donation certificates to the enterprises and will follow up on the usage of the books.
The participating enterprises have pledged to continue their cooperation for more charitable activities in the future, eagerly anticipating that these books will become a valuable treasure in the children’s journey of growth. The event not only provided books and warmth to the children but also showcased the social responsibility and altruistic spirit of the entrepreneurs. There is a hopeful look forward to more compassionate enterprises and individuals joining hands in this philanthropic journey.
